LGBT Support and Social Group
“A helping hand for the Rainbow Community”
Welcome to Number 3
Hello, and welcome to the Number 3 LGBT Support and Social Group. My name is Shaun, my partners name is Ken, and we have been running the Group now for 5 years. Our aim is to provide Social Activities and Support for the LGBT Community, particularly for those who are in a rural location and are finding it hard to make friends and socialise.
Currently we hold LGBT Coffee Mornings, Mens Outings, Mens Naturist Days and attempting to start GLAM Tiverton (Gay and Lesbians At the Movies) which would allow people to meet at the local cinema and watch a film together (a good way to make friends). We also hope to start a Mens Coffee Evening in Ilfracombe during the winter months, and are looking for organisers in this area, perhaps we could change venues each month, suggestions are welcome.

We have recently started a membership scheme, and we will be holding an AGM and two intermediate General Meetings where members will be able to have their say and put forward suggestions to the Committee, we are also currently trying to get funding to help with the running of the website and Group, as you already know all donations at the coffee mornings and events go back into the Group and help towards the Groups New Year Get Together.

We have started a new Mens Group in Ilfracombe, North Devon. Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7.30pm. Call 01884 253823 for further info. Please bring along some food to share for the buffet.
