LGBT Social & Support Group
What We Do
Number 3 is a voluntarily run group working for and on behalf of the LGBT community in the South West of England, primarily Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
We aim to give support to LGBT people in rural locations, where they have no other means of attaining social activities and gaining friendship.
Group meetings are held in the comfort of private homes, this means no prying eyes, no discomfort of having to walk into a public place and a guaranteed welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Number 3 provides:

Here at Number 3 we believe that for a healthy and social group, people need to become involved in the direction the group takes. We actively encourage people to get involved in organising events, help out at Coffee Mornings and to help other members who are in need during times of severe weather or with health issues.
Two years ago we started a “Buddy System”. This involves a volunteer calling a more senior member once a week to check they are ok. Get medication or prescriptions. If needed, help with cleaning etc.and help out with shopping. Just to be there as a first point of contact.
We also do a monthly Newsletter by email and also by mail for those who do not own computers.
Who we are
Ken and Shaun run the group from their home in Tiverton, Mid Devon. They are both heavily involved in the LGBT community , Ken is involved with hospital committies, DEAG, LGBT Collective, Rainbow Roofs and is a qualified support and bereavement counsellor.
